Tazman James is a fusion of musical heritage and determined individuality – he is fulfilling his music destiny of continuing the legacy of funk music royalty while at the same time writing his own life story. However, it is the weight and privileges that come with being the son of Rick James – Canada’s-star musician – as well as his first wife Tanya Hijazi.
Early Life
Tazman James was born in 1993; as a young boy he was raised to know the life of his father, Rick James. Childhood and youth were formed as a result of the conditions that existed in the mid-century musical and creative environment.
The activities of the star and his work were quite often complicated by the difficult circumstances of the life of his family. Coming from the family of the “King of Punk Funk” brought him into contact with the best in music and at the same time, the vices of fame.
Tazman’s childhood was divided between two cities – Los Angeles and Buffalo – so, on one hand, she received a strong dose of musical inspiration while on the other hand people tried to introduce her to a completely ordinary childhood. His mother Tanya hijazi was also struggling to maintain his early youth and tried to support him to get rid of the pressure of being the son of Rick James.
Career
In contrast to many children of famous musicians who decide to pursue a carrier in music, inspired by their parents Tazman steers his own way. Music always involved in his life but he has managed to keep quite a low profile and work on bettering himself without the pressures that come with having a superstar father. His career and life strategies do not have a contradicting style and at the same time they show consideration of his father’s heritage while personal at the same time.

Tazman’s father Rick James transformed funky from music and produced some of the famous songs of his time such as Super freak, Mary Jane. That changed the sound of multiple generations of music with his particular style and fearlessness of the creativity degree.
Although the career of Rick was quite prosperous he had a lot of personal problems. Beverly Tazman was born as the daughter of resurrected blues-rock band etag members. She was still a young girl when Rick, the guitarist of the band, died in 2004. Tanya Hijazi, Tazman’s mother, was introduced to Rick James in 1991 and the two got a divorce in 1997.
It took them through some storms but they stabilize their son’s mother most especially Tanya. After her divorced with Rick, she still attempted to serve as a still guide to Tazman, coping with life behind the larger-than-life image of his father.
Both parents contributed much to the way in which Tazman approaches life. In addition to adopting his father’s name he passed on to him an appreciation and traditions in music. He also inherited behavior of endurance, flexibility and self-sustainment from his struggling mother.
