Willadeene Parton made her choice and stays a true member of her situation while keeping the traditions of the family. Since she is the firstborn of the Parton family, this woman managed to write a lot about the family and their history trying hard to preserve it.

Early Life

He was born in the Great Smoky Mountains of Sevier County, Tennessee. Like all the songs and stories Dolly Parton tells about her early life, Willadeene Parton was born in a threadbare setting, one that defined her early years.

Living in a one room cabin with eleven other siblings most of the childhood days. Those were the hardships and the delights of the mountainous existence that later was translated in her writings.

It was therefore forced to shoulder most of the family responsibilities from childhood due to being the eldest female child of the family and take care of her younger siblings apart from ensuring that the family survived.

Although living in the mountains in those years was really poor, a life that was materially poor but spiritually and emotionally well-off, with love, music and family values subpar. The Parton children also had fun in simple ways and entertained themselves with singing, rapping, and telling jokes.

Early years of Willadeene were characterized by the strong prophets of hardworking, financially secured Christians with strong faith full of family-oriented values as imparted by parents to their young ones.

Career

While Dolly struck to the song and dance taping a thriving musical career, her sister Willadeene decided to take the different route. She also became an author and used her wonderful writing skills to pen down the success story of the Parton family.

By her writing, Willadeene has managed to narrate Parton’s straight story from the humble background through the trials and tribulations of a successful family. Her work is an example of how decision-making is valued in families and the resilience of mountain folks. She may not be sharing the stage with her sister but she is equally important in helping to keep that family legacy going.

Parents: Avie Lee Owens and Robert Lee Parton

Robert Lee was a sharecropping farmer, laborer who struggled hard to feed twelve children. Four of them never went to school, but he could not read or write. He ensured that they needed to work hard in order to get what they wanted.

He gave the doctor who delivered Dolly a bag of cornmeal, which was the way the family survived during the early days. Avie Lee Owens Parton, was an exceptional lady she remained a good role model by feeding of twelve children while at the same time having a solid religious faith for the entire family.

She had a beautiful singing voice, mainly of mountain ballads and spiritual songs which Every had inherited and saw reflected in her children. In spite of these great difficulties of raising such numerous families in poverty Avie Lee kept warm and friendly home and encouraged her children to dream and develop their talents.
