Taylor Nicole Earnhardt can definitely claim that she was born into racing royalty yet she has the legacy that she has proven herself in the field. Dealing with the burden of one of the motorsport iconic brands to her back, she has carved her niche in the equestrian sports while paying tribute to her family’s legacy.
Taylor Nicole Earnhardt story is a perfect example on how one can fulfill some cultural expectations and fulfill individual interests as well.
Early Life
Taylor Nicole Earnhardt was born on December 20,1988 in Mooresville North Carolina, this is a family that is well known in NASCAR. Born a Heather Nicole Taylor, she is the youngest daughter of Dale Earnhardt Sr and his third wife, Teresa Houston Earnhardt.
This is however not to say that from her early childhood she didn’t possess that special trait that distinguished the members of her family from other racers – she was enamored by horses. Taylor grew as a young girl in North Carolina on the family’s large farm to acquire her riding skills at the same time as nursing her father’s racing career.
Her father died in a crash during the 2001 Daytona 500 which dominated her early teen and empowered her to pave her own legacy while following her father’s footstep. Growing up in a motorsport environment she also captured her interest in horsemanship during her childhood which defined her future occupations.
Career
Unlike her half-brother Dale Earnhardt Jr who took after their father going into real car racing, Taylor diverged into her sportive enthusiasm putting it to horse racing. She has mastered several competitions in professional rodeo and she is most famous for barrel racing and trick riding.
Riding talents have proved her in the equestrian world and she has been involved professionally in several rodeo events. Taylor has also followed the same traditions as the founder to continue with his empire by supporting his cause and making appearances.
At the Dale Earnhardt Foundation, she has been an active member of the foundation who ardently saw to it that her father’s charitable legacy lives on through events. Looking at her choice of careers, she ensures she is independent and has branches in her family’s racing business.
Spouse: Brandon Putnam
That has drastically changed for Taylor after she engaged to Brandon Putnam, a roper that competed in professional rodeo just like her. They bonded over horses and western living which toned up their affairs and made them more intimate.
Brandon who has been controlling the rodeo matches was the one to give Taylor a partner who could comprehend her personal goals and her position as Davis daughter. The couple tied the knot in May 2012 in a super regal wedding which had some traditional trappings while focusing on the Indicator partners’ fondness of horses and all things western.
Their wedding was at the family’s farm in Mooresville, North Carolina, and placed motorsports accents together with equestrian ones, as the two came from different worlds.
