If part of your quandary is not only finding a mug that will look nice and function well – but will it fit in the brewer clearance space without any trial and error? That’s where this post’s guidance will come in!

Out of the travel cups I own, only this one here will fit my Keurig which is one of the smaller models When I pull out the drip tray, I have a max of 5.5″ in height, so every little bit counts! Other than the fact that it’s not dishwasher and microwave safe (unless I remove the silicone sleeve) I like it, and the sleeve is nice for a little hand protection as it gets real hot.
✅ In a hurry? This is one of the most popular Keurig friendly tumbler cups, and by the looks of it, it meets all my criteria!
Emphasis on “a little” as even the part covered by the sleeve still feels kind of hot to the touch. Oh, and that one other bugaboo – it’s ceramic, which of course means potentially breakable. Fingers crossed and I do take good care of it, but you may prefer the peace of mind that comes with a good tumbler made of a durable material.
I sometimes use an aluminum tumbler, which in ways I like better. It’s shatterproof, keeps my java hot and my hands cool. Unfortunately, I end up having to pour from a smaller cup into this one because it’s a little too tall for my single cupper. That’s the breaks, I suppose.
No worries, in this list I show you all of the top contenders that will fit your Keurig, won’t leak and won’t shatter!
Tumbler – Will Fit the Bigger Keurigs
So if you own a Keurig 2.0 coffee brewer, you may know already that one of their big upgrade features is the option to brew a 14 – oz tumbler sized beverage. That’s where their proprietary tumblers come in! There is also a more recent 12 oz size which will fit smaller brewer models.
This one has a nice, sturdy stainless steel material that is double-wall insulated and has a twist-on/off lid with a push-button to sip and then re-seal again for spill-proof drinkability.

The manufacturer’s dimensions listed are: 3.5″ wide x 7.8 ” tall x 2.5″ diameter. Some people commented that the lid part is hard to keep clean- this is understandable, and is best accomplished using a small tool like an old toothbrush or toothpick. Manufacturer’s instructions recommend “hand wash only” for the body part.
The 14 oz version stands 6.5″ in height with the lid removed. You can pretty much assume if the dispensing area to drip tray clearance is at least a notch over this, you will have no trouble adding this tumbler to your single-cup coffee repertoire.
Pro Tip: Always go for thermal mugs. They retain heat MUCH better than their plastic cousins and transport more comfortably! (meaning you’re not as likely to get burned by a hot cup) I’ve owned about 2-3 in my lifetime, and one was made of plastic and did not retain heat very well – even though at first they feel very HOT when you hold them.
Contigo Vaccuum-Insulated Stainless Steel Travel Mug, 16 oz
Contigo Travel Mug
There is also another brand known as Contigo, and their specialty is travel mugs. You would be hard-pressed to tell the difference in them and Keurig’s version. However there are two big differences going on-one is the array of color choices, and the other is the price.
The Contigo travel mug has the same great leak-proof Autoseal design, a pivoting lid, and 3 different sizes to choose from. 16, 20, and 24 oz, respectively, all priced differently based on size, but all of them less than the 14 oz Keurig tumbler sticker price. Not only will the Contigo travel mugs be compatible, but they come in lots of nice colors too!
In some cases you can get a set of 2…keep one for yourself and give the other to a friend. S/he will appreciate it for the next commute to work with hot java. The Contigo mugs due to their height will mainly be compatible with all of the Keurig line with the exception of the K130 and the K10/15 Minis.
YETI Rambler 10oz Lowball, White
The Yeti Rambler in 10 oz Size – Yes It Will Fit the Smaller Keurigs!
Every time I am doing my research, I find people are always raving about the Yeti mugs. So naturally wanted to check them out for myself…why are they so popular? Well, in a word – quality! And design – they are built for an on the go lifestyle and to be able to keep up with your goings-on.
They are designed with double-wall construction so whether your pleasure is a hot cup of joe or a refreshing iced coffee, you can be assured that your beverage will keep the right temperature hands-off. The stainless steel construction assures you the coffee will taste great -and the mug is sweat-proof so coasters need not apply.
Only trouble is finding a size or two in the Yeti line that will fit under your Keurig without a tussle. Well good news, this 10 oz size is only 4 and an eighth of an inch in height and 3.5″ in diameter – a slam dunk if you’ve got a little Keurig like mine! There are also a range of attractive colors to choose from to suit all tastes and lifestyles. As a side note – the Yeti Rambler comes in bigger sizes but they may only fit the bigger Keurigs.
Hydro Flask 12 oz Double Wall Stainless Steel Water Bottle/Travel Coffee Mug
Hydro Flask 12 oz
Last but not least certainly, is the Hydro Flask which is another quality brand. This baby has got a lifetime warranty on it – how’s that for cool? It’s also got an 18/8 stainless steel makeup and double-wall construction to keep hot drinks hot and cold ones cold for as long as you are enjoying them.
At 12 oz, the height of the Hydro Flask is approximately 6.3″ so it would fit best with a brewer with a little more clearance (including with the drip tray removed.) If you are unsure, measure first to be on the safe side.
You can enjoy a leak-proof experience with this mug -it’s interchangeable with a range of lid types so if you wanted to revert back to having a sports bottle with just plain water, which is the premise of its design. For coffee, look for the Hydro-flip lid which is the most compatible. There are also a range of beautiful colors to choose from as well.
This 10 oz One From Rubbermaid Fits Almost All Pod Brewers
Well, just about, but it does fit under the model I have if you remove the drip tray (yay! in case my cup gets broken, this would be the one…) The one exception would be the K130 in which one customer expressed disappointment in. But I think that’s the exception, and as I know that model, there are not a lot of mugs it will fit ðŸ˜. The full height is 5.6 with the lid on, so you’re pretty much assured of a worry-free experience if you’re contemplating your brewer’s clearance before reaching for the tape measure.
Rubbermaid Leak Proof Flip Lid Thermal Bottle, 10 oz., Black
It has the same double-wall insulation that the first few can also boast of, so it keeps hot coffee hot and cold (think iced coffee) cold. With a flip-back lid built into the top design, you’re sure to have a leak-proof experience throughout your commute and other comings and goings. There are also three other lid trim colors to choose from in addition to black, and the sleek stainless steel construction makes for a great experience. Oh, did I mention it’s also dishwasher safe? Another box to check.
Well I hope you enjoyed this lineup – good luck to you and hope you find the right travel mug out of these which will fit your lifestyle![toc]
