Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why a franchise?
Franchises have the highest success rates and the lowest failure rates of any business in North America today. Some statistics have shown that among all franchises, greater than 90% of all Franchises are still in business after five years. Compare that to a typical start-up where the vast majority of startup non-franchised businesses fail in the first five years, you can see that for your best chance at success a franchise is the only way to go. By deciding to become a franchisee, you have made the smart decision to follow a proven, verifiable business system. Further, you have access to a complete support team that has a vested interest in your success for the life of your franchise business. Simply put, a franchise provides a new business owner the ability to get into their own business for themselves but not by themselves.

2. Why should I pay royalties?
Royalties are the magic that makes the formula work. What would it cost you to hire a management, marketing, advertising, and customer support team? The answer is … a lot more than a typical owner would ever spend! How much would you put back into the business? You certainly couldn’t hire this group for under 10% of your gross revenue. The wonder of royalties is that instead of an individual owner footing the bill to run his or her business the expense is shared with all of the franchisees within the organization.

3. Who is the Perfect Daily Grind Candidate?
We are looking for people who clearly understand that the key to success is to give more than is expected and to expect more than everyone else.

You must be:

  • Interested in starting your own business and dedicated to building a long lasting and productive company.
  • A "team player" who understands there is great strength in following a proven system.
  • Outgoing and enthusiastic.
  • Financially capable and able to meet or exceed the minimum net worth requirements.

4. How Much Money can I Make?
This is the most frequently asked question and franchising allows the perfect way to get the answer. While the Federal Trade Commission and various states regulate franchise sales activity and restrict our ability to provide any estimated profit figures we do encourage all serious candidates to contact our existing franchisees during their due-diligence process. We will provide you a complete list of our franchisees with names and phone numbers. This is wonderful opportunity to ask all of the “real questions”, such as: How much money can I make? How long did it take you to get your business up and running? Were there any surprises that I need to know about? What is the franchisor really like and any other questions that you can think of?

5. What are the financial requirements?
Prospective franchisees must have a minimum net worth of $250,000 and $75,000 of available liquid capital for a single unit.

6. What is the Initial Franchise Fee?
$30,000 per location. Multi-location discounts may apply

7. Are There Ongoing Fees?
Yes, a royalty of 5% of gross revenue is to be paid monthly. This allows Daily Grind to continue to support, train and develop new products and programs. There is also a monthly 1% marketing fee. This fee supports the ongoing effort to expand brand recognition through many media options.
